Tracy Grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa. She moved to Minnesota in 1985 after college and now lives in Chaska, MN. with her husband and two teenage sons where her designs are influenced daily by the natural beauty that surrounds them. “The flora and fauna in our backyard alone is very inspiring.”
Tracy began sewing in elementary school and after receiving a degree in art, clothing and textile design she has naturally merged her sewing and art backgrounds to form her own world of quilting. Tracy started her infatuation with quilting in 1995 after first being introduced to art quilts.
In 1997 Tracy started hand dyeing and painting her own fabrics and designing quilt patterns. Her fabric dyeing techniques and love of color have recently expanded to include other fibers including wool.
Tracy enjoys teaching a wide variety of classes at local quilt shops and having fun with her students. What’s better than having a great time while learning something new and making new friends. Join her sometime! |
