Hosted by Tracy Trevethan and Gudrun Erla
Of Tracy Trevethan Designs & GE Designs
Join Tracy and Gudrun at Oak Ridge
Conference center in Chaska, MN for a fun filled
weekend. Experience deluxe accommodations, gourmet meals and lots of
sewing. Many
learning opportunities are offered, scheduled workshops, mini-classes and
demo’s and
plenty of time to work on your own projects or enjoy the many features the
Hotel has to offer.
Dolce Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference center in Chaska, Minnesota is located
on 130
beautifully wooded acres; just minutes from where Gudrun & Tracy live
and work. It is
only 30 minutes from the international airport and Mall of America.
The rooms are furnished with two double beds, full bath, cable tv and all
other necessary
amenities, each with serene views of the lake McKnight area. The conference
center has
wireless internet access throughout.
Meals will be served in the on site, award winning
Season’s restaurant, where you will
experience lavish dining options with many choices for each meal.
The sewing room is a well lit, large room with great windows to bring in
the natural light.
Each attendee will have their own 5’ table and an ergonomic
sewing chair. If you want to
take a break from sewing you can work out in the fitness center, play
racquetball, relax in
the sauna, hike along the many trails around the area or just enjoy a
cocktail and a
conversation in the Lakeview Lounge.
Your hostesses have planned a grand weekend filled with sewing, learning,
laughing
and friendship. Each one has designed an exclusive retreat quilt which
every attendee
will receive a complimentary copy of. Kits can be ordered before hand.
Atmosphere will
be very light and easy going, you choose what you want to work on, whether
it is one of
the many designs they offer or you bring your own projects. Gudrun and
Tracy will be
available for your assistance, expert opinion and guidance the whole
time.
Gudrun and Tracy are both pattern designers and met at a local quilt shop.
They became
friends instantly and have traveled to many quilt shows together since.
Their designing
styles are very different and they say that is the key to their friendship.
Gudrun’s designs
are more traditional with time saving techniques done with deeper and
richer fabric
colors. She designs fabric for Red Rooster. Tracy is a fabric artist, her
quilts are bold an
bright with a more contemporary style whether they are done with her own
hand painted
fabrics or accented by her dyed wools.
